The modern information technology and the textual heritage, El'Manuscript
This conference is organized by the Textual Heritage community and devoted to the development and making of the up-to-date computer tools of the storage, description, processing, interpretation, and publication of ancient and medieval written records, and problems of the preparation of electronic resources for the humanities and their use in research and education.
Each conference is accompanied by workshops or tutorials on various topics (e.g. platforms for editing medieval texts, TEI, research problems in medieval studies).
The proceedings are published on paper prior to the conference and are also available on the conference website.
History
The first four conferences and workshops were held in Russia :
The next conference of the Textual Heritage community will be held in 2014 in Bulgaria.
Submission types
Papers, posters/demonstrations, tutorials.
Languages
Submissions may be in English or in Russian.
